Hello Reader,

When it comes to the days of home decor, gone are the days of matchy matchy.

This is me waving so long, farewell, adieu.

Few things make me happier than this. It's about darn time to embrace layering, authenticity, and depth.

Ok, sounds great but what about when it comes to hardware finishes? Can you really mix these? Yes, yes, and yes.

Bathroom Hardware:

This is a bathroom space I completely remodeled down to the studs. I layered black along with brushed brass and silver. Absolutely not regrets. ๐Ÿ–ค

Not only does mixing hardware give you a lot more design freedom and make remodels a bit easier, it create a more personalized, layered look that feels fresh and modern.

Tips to Mix Hardware

Now, I will say, there are a few handy tricks to keep it feeling pulled together:

  • Stick to 2 or 3 different finishes
  • Choose one style (e.g. modern, art deco, traditional, etc)
  • Go with similar undertones (warm, cool, or neutral)
  • Pick one main finish
