Most of my projects around here lately have been super practical (hard to get excited about siding and faucet repairs) so until my juicy projects come together, I'll be digging through the archives getting inspired by past projects.
For the next few weeks, I'll share some of my favorite before & afters here.
Painting a front door goes down as one of my all time favorite quick & inexpensive updates.
So on my last house, I ditched the seafoam green & went true black. That plus a mini styling update and the front porch went modern in just a few hours.

BEFORE: Seafoam green was pretty but a little too farmhousey for me
You know I'm convinced that black paint is essentially liquid magic, right? Well, this project is now exception. The true black elevates the whole front porch and takes it from farmhouse to modern instantly.
The mix of neutral planters at varying heights added that organic modern element.
Tip: rosemary is one of my tried and true evergreen plants (it's super hard to kill, easy to find, deer resistant, works in pots until it's ready to plant, lots of texture. I basically just love it.)
