Making Spaces

โ€‹allisajacobs.comโ€‹

Hello Reader,

Well, I had another topic planned for today. But, given the current devastation and loss of homes in Los Angeles, it just didn't feel right.

The sheer destruction and heartbreak is unimaginable - and it got me thinking more about home. In times like these, the meaning of home feels more profound.

What is home? Home to me. Home to others. The numerous homes and places I've lived. Homes I've worked on. Homes I've remodeled.

And then, your homes. The homes I aim to help and encourage in this space.

Home is often our anchor, haven, refuge, expression, and where our memories live.

My connection to home and what it represents is what keeps me writing these emails each week.

So, right now, my heart is with California - a place I once lived and was even visiting LA with my boys up just this past Monday evening. I'll be back next week with regular home content. ๐Ÿ–ค

And to everyone signed up for tomorrow's sessions, I'll see you then.

If you're looking for something gentle to focus on right now, my post about creating a calming home might bring some comfort.
