Ever feel stuck or distracted with home projects? I know I do! Well, lately I've been embracing the power of 10 minutes. I'm not sure if this is an official thing, but the idea is you can actually get a lot done in a short amount of time.
From decluttering one little area to cleaning and exercising - I set a timer and say to myself, "C'mon Allisa, you've got 10 minutes. Let's do this." And wouldn't you know, I actually get something DONE. (read to the end for my current project list)
Sooo, I've gathered up some of the very best home updates that can actually be done in 10 minutes - or less. I've actually done a few of these this week while writing this post!
10 Minute Home Upgrades

- Replace Door Stoppers - tiny but big difference
- Refresh Floor Vent Returns -low effort, HUGE impact
- Change Cabinet Knobs & Pulls - my favorite
- Update Furniture Hardware & Legs - completely transformed my couch
- Change Light Bulbs - overlooked but critical detail, make 'em warm & consistent
- Replace Light Fixture - not as hard as you might think!
- Upgrade Bath Accessories - changing out an old flimsy rack or bar is a major update
- Replace Light Switch Covers
And, if the items you replaced are in good shape, considering donating to Habitat for Humanity - their ReStore is amazing. Either way, these little 10 minutes changes stack up to help make your home feel more authentic.

- Install oak mantel on painted fireplace (brother helping me this weekend!)
- Remove old formica countertop & mirror in boys bathroom
- Sand & paint bathroom cabinets
- Finish wall paint
- Replace vanity light
- Find wall mirror
- Call back flooring guy for quote on my bathroom flooring
- Install hook, toilet paper holder, & light in guest bathroom (old ones removed already 😬)
- Decide on guest bath wallpaper (????)
- Add shelves above toilet
- Reassess kitchen remodel
