The Sunshine Is Here + Sales & Tips for Window Coverings

Hello Reader,

Well, well, well - looks like we a good stretch of sunshine here in Oregon. So, in addition to sprucing up my patio & porch, it's also the time of year when I remember I either need or want window coverings.

This year, I had a few to replace after repairing the window (new size + new install) annnd, I actually chose a type different than my usual. And now, I have another window covering option to recommend - and good news, they are both on sale right now!

In addition to just being practical, window coverings are also a good way to ADD or FIX some design elements.

For example, I was helping a client who felt their whole kitchen felt too peachy and wanted to paint the cabinets. After looking carefully, I noticed their beige blinds were casting an orangey glow. By simply swapping to a neutral white woven option - it immediately toned down the orange look. No cabinet renovation needed.

Here, I'm sharing two window options I love & tips use them! Plus, I'll include sale details as well.

Linen Roman Shades

For this update I used Cordless Roman Shades and LOVE THEM! Here are some tips:

  • Work well with both white or wood trimwork
  • Add softness to spaces that might otherwise feel stark
  • Added a blackout liner to the bedroom windows
  • Perfect for filtering light but still very private
  • Cordless kid-friendly
  • On sale on their site

Woven Wood Shades:

For years, Woven Wood Shades have been my go to window covering. I love them!

  • Great way to add texture to otherwise flat spaces
  • Also add warmth (so important if you're fighting the millennial gray
  • Can be layered with curtains for extra privacy or design
  • Totally customizable and easy measuring and install
  • I've found the color "Kula Sandy Beach" works well in various spaces
  • 50% Off Now for Memorial Day

I hope these window covering tips are helpful! I'll see you next week!
