These last few weeks have been my favorite - here in Oregon we get that late summer sun glow where everything feels dreamy & time moves a bit differently.
I've been focusing on some outdoor projects and slowly looking inside, planning a long shelf ledge to layer art. I've used ledges in the past and love how I can change prints out with the seasons...and my mood.
Art Size Guide:
Speaking of art - last week I created a few Art Size Charts to help choose art for a variety of places: Living Rooms, Bedrooms, Dining Rooms and I also shared tips on Landscape vs Portrait art.
The goal behind this is to make choosing artwork simple & straightforward using simple formulas that our brains subconsciously find appealing.
Above the Couch Guide
In general, artwork above the couch works best when it is 2/3 the length of the couch. So, for example, if your couch is 90" long - artwork that is about 60" wide total will look proportionate.
Now, this 60" can be made up a variety of ways:
One oversized art print
Two prints about 28" wide with spacing between
Three prints about 18" wide and spacing
One 60" ledge with layered artwork
*It does not have to be exact, but this is a general guideline to make it easy. And if your couch is a different length, just measure and find 2/3 of that 😊

Many of you ask about specific items and paint colors in my home and designs- because I'm super intentional about items I choose, I am really happy to share all this info!
My Home on LTK
To make it easy, I've updated my LTK. This app shows different rooms I've worked on over the years and when possible, links to exact or similar items to make it easy for you!
